An outstanding sweet taste experience in the coffee cup. Our Sugar Bomb coffee is sourced from the El Cambalache farm in Nicaragua. The flavour is dominated by notes of caramel, cane sugar and white chocolate.
In this case, it is a Maracaturra coffee variety, derived from a cross between Maragogipe and Caturra. The primary aim of the breeding was, among other things, to create a disease-resistant variety with an excellent flavour profile. This variety is generally characterised by fruity and citrus notes.
On the farm, the harvested crop got Honey processed. As part of the process, the outer skin of the coffee cherry is removed, but the sticky, honey-like layer covering the seed is retained. Finally, the beans were dried with this membrane. This technique results in a sweeter flavour profile.
