Daisuke is not just a coffee, it's a philosophy: a direct connection with the world's best farmers, whose work we respect and support. The stories behind our coffees and the passion with which we roast them ensure that every cup is synonymous with quality and respect.

The story of Daisuke was born on a flight from Bali to Hong Kong - at least as we know it today. But its roots go deeper than that, all the way to the rolling coffee farms of Central America.
The founding co-owner, Szabolcs Szelei, lived in Central America in the late 1990s and early 2000s. A friend in Guatemala, who married in Salvador, introduced him to the world of specialty coffee. And in more than one way: one branch of the family owned a long-established coffee farm with a presidential past, where specialty coffee had been grown for decades. The farms' breathtaking landscapes, the richness of flavours and the kindness of the workers had a profound impact on Szabolcs. He immediately decided that he wanted to give something back to these communities - and found that coffee trading could be the way to do it.
